Performance

When this software was originally written, computers were slow, and clock speed was an important measure of performance. It ran (barely) with a 1GHz Pentium4-class machine, running Windows XP or later, and would keep the processor over 20% the whole time.

Nowadays, most computers are faster. If you’re using Windows (with .NET), or linux or Mac (with Mono, which — last I checked — was quite inefficient at the sorts of things InguzDSP does), any fairly modern machine will run InguzDSP and you probably won’t even notice that it’s running.

Slower machines do exist still. I haven’t tried running InguzDSP on an Atom-based network storage device (although it will probably work, if you can get a Mono build installed). There’s no version for phones or iPads, nor for the small ARM-based Squeezeboxes (Touch, Radio, Controller, etc).
